Interview with Dr. Megan Neyer - Sports Psychologist, former Olympic Diver

John speaks with Dr. Megan Neyer, who was part of the 1980 Olympic team, a member of the dominant swimming and diving team under coach Randy Reese at the University of Florida, and the most successful diver in NCAA history with a record of 8 championships in the 1-meter and 3-meter springboard. After her diving career, she went on to get her master's degree in sports psychology and doctorate in counseling from the University of Florida. Currently she provides a variety of counseling services, including sports performance counseling to divers, swimmers and athletes in many other sports as well. In this interview with John, Dr. Neyer talks about her diving career, explains how sports teach valuable skills, and provides insight into how thoughts and emotions can influence athletic performance.
